About Us Butterfly Story Notices

About us

ButterflyTree Child Development and Parenting Centre was born out of a PASSION for children, their developing mind and the important and influential relationship they have with their parents. Each child is UNIQUE and we want to celebrate and develop this uniqueness. There are many influences on a child's life; the two that we are most passionate about are emotional and social development and parenting. The aim at ButterflyTree is to assist parents to develop their own parenting styles in a way that acknowledges the skills they currently hold while inspiring and guiding them to explore others that may benefit their children and family. In conjunction with this we aim to assist children in gaining valuable skills in emotional development. You can read more about these approaches and their benefits under the related sections of the website.

What we Do

We provide Emotional & Social Development programs and classes, as well as Parenting Consultations and workshops, in order to empower children and parents with important developmental and life skills. We believe that parents hold important knowledge's about their own ideas of parenting, their children and their family. The aim of our Parenting Consultations and Workshops is to empower parents to develop the skills they currently hold and where appropriate develop alternatives that could benefit their individual children and family.

Emotional & Social Development is something that is not given special focus to in the schooling system, yet it is important to a child's problem solving and other abilities. We want to empower children by helping them to develop these important life skills.

At ButterflyTree we also like to have fun doing all this learning and developing. We love nurturing creativity with different materials, including paint, glue and of course, a little bit of sparkle. We believe being creative is about experimenting, playing and just seeing what happens. By engaging in this type of environment children learn about making choices, sharing, listening, observing, playing, pretending, problem solving, and interacting with others.

Who are We

ButterflyTree is owned and supervised by a Psychologist with a special interest in Child Development and Parenting. Our Programs have been purposefully developed to provide your child with important life skills and emotional development tools. These programs are informed by well documented psychological theories and years of experience working with developing minds.

We are passionate about inspiring imaginations and helping you to have fun with your little one too. We hope you find our site inspiring and that we can help to inspire your child's own journey of discovery and a love of learning.
